Insights into Sweden's forests

For the next six months, Sweden, one of the EU’s most forested countries, holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU). This comes at a time when the EU is discussing several forest related files. To consider what this may mean for forests and forest policies, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and Fern have teamed up to organise an event ‘Insights into Sweden's forests’ on 1 March 2023 (details below).
This event was an opportunity to hear from people whose livelihoods depend on forests, including Swedish foresters and leaders from the Indigenous Sami communities.
