Community forestry in Liberia

In a world where communities have less access and ownership to land and forests, what happens when forests are too small to commercially log?

This report documents three community stories, showing how they have tried to benefit from their forests. Each case study helps showcase small-scale forest management whilst revealing that it is often not in line with national and formalised legislation and processes. Land rights laws need to reflect and build on existing forest communities.
