In memory of our partner Patrice Passe Sanand

Fern is deeply saddened by the passing of Patrice Passe Sanand, former coordinator of the platform for Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and the Environment (GDRNE), which took place on Saturday 16 March 2019 in Bangui, Central African Republic.

Patrice was a wholehearted, committed, and passionate activist. As a former coordinator of the GDRNE platform, he actively contributed to advancing environment and forest protection, and respect for local communities’ rights. He actively participated in the implementation of the FLEGT Voluntary Partnership Agreement in the Republic.

Patrice will be missed and our thoughts are with his close ones in this painful moment.

Fern expresses his deepest condolences and friendship to his family, friends and colleagues.
